I walked in this location at 11:55 pm (Thursday August 31, 2017) after a long day at work and walked up to the counter. I looked at the lottery selection and asked for some of the $2 on the left-hand side of the wall.
As I left she said by have a nice day as if to taunt me one last time before I was out of ears distance. She was very rude I only wish I thought to read her name before leaving she is a representation of the company she works for
I was immediately turned away and the man named Dwayne said very rudely, "Nope. You can't get those ones. That register is shut down. You can only buy from the right hand side of our wall." And he walked away.
Needles to say she then reached forward took the fritter and told me I couldn’t have it it wasn’t part of the sale. And I ask d her what she was gonna do with it because I had already touched it she can’t re-sell it. She said there gonna throw it way I said you would rather throw that away then understand the miscommunication between customers and the business when when the clearly states our bakery on the sign “people are starving and you just gonna throw it away she said they don’t care speaking on behalf of the company. Wow I said that’s harsh I said as I walked away leaving my fritter behind sorry I’m still thinking about that fritter 20 minutes later.
I just asked one more time, "So I can't buy a bunch of tickets? You're going to push my money/sales away? That's your final decision?"
I stood there in shock, thought about his answer, which I thought was very strange, then asked, "Why can't I buy the lower-end tickets? If you can sell me the higher ones, that means your lottery is still up and able to be sold?"
There were 2omen Work one kind of on the heavier side and one kind of tall and stretched out both wearing glasses. At first the heavier set women was respectful about it but the other lady not so much. Instead of trying to understand the situation she tried to make me feel stupid and imbarace me in front of other customers.
He said again, in a very mean manner, "What did I say? NO to that side, YES to this side. What's it going to be?"
Miss understood sign on refrigerator door saying buy one get something free from bakery grabbed an apple fritter to enjoy with my Banana hot chocolate from a stand labeled our bakery. A reasonable mistake I would think considering it does say our bakery it’s not my store I don’t own how was I supposed to no that wasn’t really there bakery.
He argued back and forth with me until about 12:02 am, and he was just not giving in. HIS ANSWER MADE NO SENSE TO ME!!!!!!!
Very very rude Tuesday October 17th 2017 5:25pm
I don't know what I did wrong to that mean man, except walk in their front door!
He was yelling by the end of our conversation, and there was a line forming and I was utterly embarrassed, so I finally just asked for the manager's name because he so smugly said, "If you'd like to report me, go ahead, but you ain't gonna see no manager until Sunday morning, so be my guest."
Friendly staff great prices on gas. I love the values in the store they always have specials on food and drinks. Soda, coffee, and slushie large $1 each. Also pizza chicken fingers breakfast foods and other prepared foods and snacks at reasonable prices. The staff was smiley and attentive and helpful with questions I had.
If you don't like this place then there might be something wrong with you. One of my most favorite gas stations ever! Staff is amazing! Always friendly greetings and they always have everything I am looking for. If they don't have it on the shelf they will stop everything they are doing in order to look and find what I need. SmartPay is probably the best way of pumping gas ever created. I don't know why all gas stations don't go to this model. I save money and I am able to track my savings over time. No messing with card as I can just pull up the app and type in the pump. It knows which gas station I am currently at.
I CANNOT believe this man even has a job! Right on the business card he gave me it says Cumberland Farm's mission is, "To provide the FRIENDLIEST AND MOST CONVENIENT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE..." THAT WAS ANYTHING BUT FRIENDLY AND I ALMOST CRIED THAT'S HOW NASTY AND MEAN THIS MAN DWAYNE WAS!!!!!!
"Yup! Hope to see you Sunday," he said with a chuckle as I walked out very angry.
Great price on gas and tobacco, also nice choice on coffee. Huge selection of food and drink, as well as hot food at the counter. Friendly staff always a pleasure to be served by at any time of day or night we have visited.
